FAQ

Good questions. Good answers.

At Scale Capital invests in:
  • B2B technology startups in the Nordics and Germany.
  • Seed to Series A stage businesses, usually with +€70K MRR.
  • Experienced teams building IP-driven software with clear US potential.
  • Companies with a proven business model, seeking €1-7M.
  • Founders are majority shareholders at time of investment.
Our investment focus centers around:
  • Enterprise software, covering a wide range of business areas but with a high ACV.
  • Deep tech companies, such as quantum computing, additive manufacturing, deep AI, etc.

We understand the entrepreneurs’ journey, as we’ve been down that road ourselves. We know how to listen and when to step in. We have been working with technology companies for over a decade and developed and tested approaches for acceleration and scaling in the US market.

This involves setting up operations, finding product/market fit and scaling teams, and together with our US partners, provide the required growth capital for the journey. We are company builders focused on scaling businesses and empowering change. We are an active partner for the duration of your company’s growth journey.

We like to get to know the founder teams and understand their ambition, dreams and aspirations.

The process can take many forms, but usually looks like this:

  • Initial pitch and conversations
  • Workshop with team to understand product, market, competition, etc
  • Deep dive into the business and opportunities (Scale kissing phase)
  • Term sheet is provided
  • 100-day planning sessions
  • Legal and tech due diligence
  • Investment

The process takes 8-12 weeks.

The initial ticket is €1-3M, and we can make follow-on investments with the same amount. Scale Capital often leads and syndicates with other investors.
